Turkish Glazed Peaches

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tbsp honey or molasses
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
     
    Optional toppings. Greek yogurt, chopped nuts, fresh mint leaves

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill or pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Whisk together in small bowl, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the glaze.
  3. Brush and evenly coat the cut side of each peach half with the honey glaze.
  4. Place cut side down on grill or pan and cook about 3-4 mins, or until they start to caramelize.
  5. Carefully flip the peaches over and brush the skin side with the remaining honey glaze.
  6. Cook for an additional 3-4 mins, or until tender.
  7. Remove peaches and transfer to serving plate.
  8. Cool slightly. Garnish and serve.
