As an orthopedic surgeon I was taught very little about nutrition in medical school. However, over the last 10 years I have developed an intense interest personally and have passed this on to my patients with great success. I have published in organic chemistry, biology, joint mechanics, joint arthroplasty, spinal biomechanics. With 11 years of education after high school I thought I knew a little bit about everything.
But when it comes to the science of nutrition and plants, there are few as knowledgeable as Patrick Quillin. I have followed his work for years and ultimately had the privilege of meeting him in person. He is brilliant and I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in having a better understanding of nutrition and how it affects their body. Although this book is useful for patients dealing with cancer, it is also useful for anyone who is interested in leading a healthier lifestyle. For me, Patrick is a role model and true health care hero. Thank you Dr. Quillin for all you do in the name of science, education, and most importantly your desire to help others. Irvin Sahni, MD
Dr. Patrick Quillin is a master communicator and writer. Another book he wrote, Beating Cancer With Nutrition, was one of the first books I read during my own healing journey, and it helped me to understand the science of nutrition and why that is so important to healing cancer. He is and incredible writer, and this is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to prevent or heal cancer. J.S. Gardner, from Amazon reviews
