Dealing with natural cancer treatment options from a holistic perspective can be an overwhelming journey, and patients and their loved ones often seek alternative and complementary methods to conventional treatments. While traditional medical interventions have made significant strides, there is growing interest in exploring the potential benefits of natural therapies in conjunction with standard approaches.
There are various natural treatment options, ranging from dietary changes and herbal remedies to mind-body practices, all with the aim of supporting the body’s healing process and enhancing overall well-being during cancer treatment. Our mission is to provide a well-rounded understanding of these natural approaches, empowering you to make informed decisions and embark on a path that aligns with your unique needs and preferences. Let’s embark on this enlightening journey together, as we uncover the potential of a holistic approach to cancer care.
This approach to natural cancer treatment offers a unique multi-disciplinary approach that is based on both scientific studies and actual clinical experience. My basic strategy is a three-pronged attack on cancer:
1. Change underlying cause of cancer
Focus on nutrition, exercise, attitude, and detoxification, we can elevate the body’s healing abilities to elevate the body’s own internal healing abilities.
2. Restrained tumor debulking
Reduce cancer burden with chemo, radiation, hyperthermia, and other appropriate therapies.
3. Symptom management
Cancer can bring many symptoms that make life a purgatory. There are many allopathic and naturopathic therapies to manage the symptoms and make the disease and medical treatments more tolerable and are viable options for natural cancer treatment.
A hammer, pliers, and screwdriver belong in any good tool box, just as chemo, radiation, and surgery have their place in cancer treatment. But that tool box is far from complete. There are many natural cancer treatment therapies that can be valuable assets in cancer treatment. There are many “tools” to support the basic, but incomplete, toolbox that we currently use against cancer.
Natural Cancer Treatment: A Multi-Level Approach to Confronting Cancer
It is important to avoid the mistake of the past, which is to focus on one aspect of cancer treatment and forget the other potentially valuable therapies. Avoid monomania, or obsession with one “magic bullet” idea. This approach pays homage to the complexities of the human body and mind and draws on many fields to provide maximum firepower against cancer. We need all the weapons we can muster, for cancer is no simple beast to kill.
Attacking Cancer on Multiple Fronts: Exploring Natural Cancer Treatment Options
American health care is nearing a financial “meltdown”. We spent $3.6 trillion in 2018 on disease maintenance, which works out to $11,000/person which is 18% of our gross national product–twice the expense per capita of any other health care system on earth. Notice that I said “disease maintenance”, because we certainly do not support health care in America, and “health insurance” is neither related to health nor solid actuarial insurance.
The most expensive disease in America is cancer at $150 billion/yr. These opulent expenses would be easier to swallow if we were obtaining impressive results. But many experts argue that we have made limited progress in the costly and lengthy “war on cancer”.
Exploring Options for Natural Cancer Treatment
By 1971, cancer had become enough of a nuisance that President Richard Nixon launched the long-awaited “war on cancer”, confidently proclaiming that we would have a cure within 5 years, before the Bicentennial celebration in 1976. With over $200 billion spent on research in the past 49 years, $2 trillion spent on therapy, 600,000 deaths per year and no relief in sight from traditional therapies–it is blindingly obvious that we must re-examine some natural cancer treatment options in addition to cancer prevention. If 4 fully loaded 747 planes crashed every day, that would equal the death toll from cancer…and someone would do something to improve the situation.
Experts estimate that 45% of males and 39% of females living in America will develop cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer has increased from one out of 20 women in the year 1950 to one out of eight women. With some cancers, notably liver, lung, pancreas, bone, and advanced breast cancer, our five-year survival rate from traditional therapy alone is virtually the same as it was 30 years ago.
This approach is about options. If our current results from traditional cancer treatment were encouraging, then there would be no need for alternative therapies against cancer. Unfortunately, traditional cancer therapies have plateaued–some might say that they hit a dead-end brick wall. In many instances, the treatment is worse than the disease, with chronic nausea and vomiting, hair loss, painful mouth sores, extreme fatigue, and depression as common side effects of therapy and minimal improvements in lifespan.
Chemo, Nutrients and Nerves
Long-term complications include toxicity to the heart, kidneys, and bone marrow. While many children may recover from cancer, they are placed at much higher risk for getting cancer later in life from their cancer therapy. And if the cancer patient recovers from the disease, which is no small task, then recovering from the therapy may be even more challenging. Many patients come to me suffering from peripheral neuropathy (tingling numbness and pain in the hands and feet), after too much chemo with no nutrients to protect the delicate nerves.
Cost Effective, Non Toxic, Natural Cancer Treatment Options
Obviously, if what we are doing isn’t working, then we need to look at some sensible, scientific, non-toxic, and cost-effective options that can amplify the tumor-killing abilities of traditional therapies. Nutrition is at the top of that list. Many experts call our health care crisis a “ticking time bomb”. By using natural options and lifestyle medicine we can defuse that bomb.

Patient Profile – Breasts Cancer Success Story
L.M. was diagnosed in 1994 with late stage breast cancer. She read and followed the principles in BEATING CANCER WITH NUTRITION while using her doctor’s selective tumor debulking therapies. While her prognosis had been poor, L.M. went into complete remission. L.M. attended a lecture by your author in Atlanta in November of 2018 and was delighted with her newfound health. 25 years after her death sentence, L.M. looks and feels fabulous.
Science Backed, Logical Natural Treatment Options
The recommendations provided in this approach are scientifically-backed, time-tested, logical, and supported by my clinical observations in working with thousands of cancer patients over the course of 30 years. Follow the program outlined here and you, the cancer patient, can surpass the recovery predictions of your oncologist.
